Volunteering at Caerphilly Borough Mind
Volunteers play an important part in service delivery for Caerphilly Borough Mind and we welcome applications from all parts of the community. We especially welcome applications from individuals who have had a direct experience of mental health issues.
Caerphilly Borough Mind offers a number of volunteering opportunities with paid staff and volunteers working together towards a better life for people experiencing mental health problems.
All activity of Caerphilly Borough Mind is regulated by its Memorandum and Articles and over 25 policies which are adopted and scrutinised by its Board of Trustees.
Volunteers are required to adhere to all policies as part of their volunteering agreement. The Memorandum and Articles and all policies are available from the office, copies are kept in the main lounge of the step in. Policies which are particularly relevant to Volunteers are printed in the Volunteering handbook.
The selection process is based on the skills and interest of the volunteer and the needs of Caerphilly Borough Mind. It involves an interview, a satisfactory reference and a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
